Euphorbia Kansui is a plant that belongs to family Euphorbiaceae. In traditional Chinese
medicine, the root of euphorbia (Gan Sui) is often used for conditions of the lung, kidney,
and large intestine. It is used as a diuretic and a laxative, through its expulsion of water
from the chest and abdomen. It is used to expel heat, reduce swellings, act as a
decongestant, reduce the incidence of edema, and reduce inflammation of the lymph
glands. It may be applied externally to reduce swelling, inflammation, and skin lesions.
Euphorbia is also used for dilating peripheral blood vessels and reducing cirrhosis of the
liver.

Usage: The typical dosage of euphorbia root is 0.5-1 grams per day.
Euphorbia should not be taken by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or people
with diminished immune systems. In addition, euphorbia should not be taken in
conjunction with any form of licorice.
